Scumbag gets 21 years for killing baby over a videogame

gavel - Image 1Twenty one years is simply nowhere near enough time for murdering an 18 day old child just because he interrupted a videogame, and how does this piece of slime get away with manslaughter? Pretty damn revolting stuff, makes you just shake your head and wonder what’s going on with our legal system.

Details after the jump.

On Oct. 26th, 2007, Rene Edward Barrios was charged with looking after his girlfriends 18 day old infant who lay sleeping in the next room. Presently, the infant started to cry, sending Barrios into a rage, pausing the gam, he went into the room, grabbed the child, shook him and then hit him before returning to his gaming session. By the time Barrios went back to check on the baby he was blue and unconscious, the poor child died at the hospital and Barrios was immediately arrested.

Barrios has plead guilty to manslaughter and will be sentenced to serve between 10.5 and 21 years in prison.

This is a direct response to the article on Why Mario Should Retire, and why that article is ridiculous, way off point and incredibly premature.

Wii and DS Compatibility

The Wii and DS communicating…  It seems so perfect.  Yet, only a few games have taken advantage of this ability.  Quite often, I find myself looking for games that do.  So, I was just watching a video about a game called MaBoShi which uses Wii-DS compatibility via DS Download.  Check it out.

Easy Homebrew Installer v1.1: easy start with Wiibrew

If you’re new to Wii homebrew, you might find this extremely useful. Called the Easy Homebrew Installer, it preps up your SD card with all the necessary files to run the Twilight Hack and the Homebrew Channel on your Wii. The program is similar to big bang theory’s own Wii Brew SD Installer, only more compact.

Unlike the Wii Brew SD Installer, it doesn’t come with Wiibrew programs, you’ll have to download them yourself. Fortunately, we have a lot of them in our download archives. Easy Homebrew Installer just provides you with the Wii Homebrew Channel and the save files from Twilight Princess. Here’s a vid to see how to use the program:
